CompetitionsCompetitions
Various inter-branch activities are organised by the region during the course of the year. Some are mounted, like Dressage, Equitation, Show Jumping, Working Riding / Utility classes, Mounted Games and the Annual Children's Hunt. The emphasis is on participation in both competitive and non-competitive activities as dependable and enthusiastic team members. Members are encouraged to develop co-operative skills, since fair and friendly competition develops teamwork and sportsmanship.

In 2009 a photo competition was held to encourage members to submit pictures which best epitomised what Pony Club meant to them. The Interbranch Quiz and Looney Olympics helped members to gain self-esteem and expertise whilst studying for the theory section. Of course the Looney Olympics was just sheer fun! All proceeds from the competition were donated to the Highveld Horse Care Unit. Several branches also competed to see how many members could do volunteer work there during the school holidays!
